This must-try Indian whisky comes from a village distillery running on renewable energy in the foothills of the Himalayas. Former Amrut master blender Surrinder Kumar demonstrates his unerring sense of balance, pace, and control over the fast-maturing single malt, which is distilled from organically grown six-row Indian barley indigenous to Rajasthan.

Flavors of vanilla, citrus peel, baked peach, hazelnut, and cassis attest to the complex contributions from the first-fill bourbon, French wine, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks

International Whisky Competition, Las Vegas – Gold

The International Whisky Competition@ is the world's most-followed whisky competition. The mission was to create a true competition by offering only 3 medals per category, just like in the Olympics or any other real competition. The Goal is to bring the best whiskies from around the world to be tasted and rated by our professional tasting panel. Unlike other competitions, since 2015, the judges are presented with one whisky at a time, to ensure each whisky gets the proper attention. In-depth notes are taken at every step for review.

New Wizards Awards, 2022 - Asian Whisky of the year / Gold

Dom Roskrow, a spirit's writer, Editor and consultant specializing in whisky has been a drinks writer since 1901, and a whisky writer since 2001. At the 2022 edition of Dom Roskrow's New Wizards Awards (The NWAs), Indri - Trini was awarded the Best Asian Whisky of the year award.

This was one of the most competitive categories in this year's Awards, with several gold medal winners competing for the title. This, though, was a revelation and joins a growing band of wonderful Indian whiskies.

It is matured in ex-sherry, ex-bourbon and French oak casks so unsurprisingly there's a lot going on- berry fruits and red peanuts, lemon, grapefruit and tropical notes, all held in place by freshly shaved wood tannins and soft spice.
